Scope of duty
The employee takes scope of duty for his or her position unless the
different terms and conditions agreed between B.L. and the clients.

General:
Assist the owner and the site manager in the technical management and supervision at the site office during the newbuilding.
Complete the assignment of the site manager within the Scope of Duty.
Report to the site manager about the relevant works within the Scope of Duty.
Smooth liaison with the builder and other relevant companies.
Keep confidential about relevant information about the Owner and his newbuilding.
Record and log everyday work, both normal and overtime work.
Work to the maximum benefits of the Owner.

Position: Manager
Monitoring and control the technical matters during supervision.
To report regularly, formally and informally to the client’s representative for working progress, to report any areas where problems may affect the delivery or finished standard of the project.
To maintain a daily work diary as required the client.
Other assignments mutually approved by both the Owner and B.L.

Position: Steel Supervisor
Inspect the steel structure of hull part, covering the fabrication, welding, erection, NDT, such as MT, UT, X-ray, and check the test of air tightness of all tanks.
Inspect the outfitting installations to ensure to conform to the requirements of the Owner, Class rule, and relevant international rules.
Inspect painting work, covering material pretreatment, block painting, deck painting, ballast water tank and service tank painting and so on.
Inspect the installation of deck equipment and their certificates, such as cargo handling system, mooring and anchor system, fire fighting system, ballast system, life saving equipment, and so on.
Inspect the installation of insulation layout and accommodation equipment such as panels and lavatory units.
Witness of mooring test and sea trial.
Other assignments mutually approved by both the Owner and B.L.

Position: Machinery Supervisor
Piping, covering inspection of material, fixing, welding, arrangement and tightness test.
Installation of shafting and propeller
Installation of main engine
Installation of auxiliary machines
Installation of boiler
Witness of function test of relevant machines and equipment, mooring test and sea trial.
Other assignments mutually approved by the Owner and B.L.

Position: Assistant Supervisor
The assistant supervisor cannot participate in inspection which is subject to the approval of the Owner or his representative. His main duty is to assist the site manager and the supervisor to complete the following assignment:
The shipyard does not mix HT and mild steel (e.g. when steel cutting is in progress)
Pre-treatment
Painting
Cleaning
Checking the arrival of spare parts
Other assignments mutually approved by both the Owner and B.L.

Position: Secretary
General Secretarial duties, such as paper work, booking tickets, apartment arrangement and so on.
Translation of technical materials and interpretation at meetings.
Management of all files and records.
